Advertiser Terms
Criminal Defense Resources™ · Last updated: November 2, 2026
Please read these terms. Section 9 requires binding individual arbitration and waives jury trials and class actions. Sections 7 and 8 limit our liability. All sales are final (Section 5).
1. Who we are
These Advertiser Terms (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you (the “Advertiser”) and Continuing Education And Training, LLC, an Arizona limited liability company doing business as Criminal Defense Resources™ (“CEAT,” “we,” or “us”). They cover every ad, banner, case-page sponsorship, newsletter sponsorship, and directory listing you buy from us (an “Ad”). By checking “I agree” or paying, you accept these Terms, and that electronic acceptance is your legal signature under the federal E-SIGN Act and the Arizona Electronic Transactions Act. If you accept for a business, you confirm you can bind it. You must be 18 or older.
2. Your Ad is your responsibility
You are solely responsible for your Ad and everything it links to: its words, images, offers, prices, claims, licenses, and the products or services behind it. You promise your Ad is truthful, not misleading, lawful, and that you own or have the rights to everything in it. You may not promise case outcomes or give legal advice. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, format, and resize your Ad for the paid period.
3. Labeling and our rights
Every Ad is labeled “Sponsored” (or a similar label). Payment does not buy or affect our editorial content or case summaries. We may refuse, edit for fit, reposition, pause, or remove any Ad at any time, for any lawful reason, with or without notice, and we are not liable for doing so.
4. Payment and period
You pay the price shown at checkout, once, for the stated period (for example, one month). Payments do not renew automatically; when the period ends, the Ad comes down unless you buy another period. The period starts when your Ad goes live. You agree not to file a chargeback for any charge that follows these Terms; if you do, you will repay the amount plus processor fees.
5. All sales final, no refunds
All sales are final and all fees are non-refundable, including for unused time, cancellation, dissatisfaction with traffic or results, and removal or rejection of an Ad for cause (including breaking these Terms or any law). The only exception is where a law requires a refund that cannot be waived, and then only the minimum the law requires.
6. No guarantees
We do not guarantee impressions, clicks, calls, leads, sales, placement, rankings, traffic, or any results. Any numbers we share are estimates. The site and every Ad are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” with all faults. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free service.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CEAT and its owner, members, managers, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for any consequential, incidental, special, indirect, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data, however caused, even if advised of the possibility.
8. Liability cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims of any kind is capped at the amount you actually paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the first claim. If you paid nothing, our liability is zero ($0). There is no minimum amount. These limits apply to every legal theory and are an essential part of our prices. You will bring any claim only against CEAT, not against its owner, members, or agents personally. Any claim must be filed within one (1) year after it arose or it is permanently barred.
9. Disputes: arbitration, no class actions, no jury
Before filing anything, send written notice to the address below and we will both try in good faith to resolve it for 60 days. If not resolved, any dispute relating to your Ad or these Terms will be decided only by final and binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules (or its Consumer Arbitration Rules where they must apply), held in Maricopa County, Arizona. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. Either side may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court in Maricopa County, Arizona. You and we may bring claims only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative action, and you and we each waive any right to a jury trial. You may opt out of arbitration by mailing signed written notice within 30 days after you first accept these Terms.
10. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CEAT and its owner, members, managers, employees, contractors, and agents from all claims, losses, fines, damages, and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ and expert fees) arising from your Ad, anything it links to, your products, services, or business, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or anyone’s rights. We may control the defense at your expense, and you may not settle without our written consent.
11. Arizona law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For anything not subject to arbitration, or to enforce an arbitration award, exclusive venue is in the state or federal courts in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If we must act to collect money you owe or enforce these Terms and we win, you will pay our reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs.
12. General
We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a new date; the version you accepted at checkout governs that purchase. These Terms, our Privacy note, and your order are the entire agreement. If any part is unenforceable, it is enforced to the maximum extent allowed and the rest stays in force. Our delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may. We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing here creates a partnership or agency.
